Cellular Endpoints

No Utility-Owned Infrastructure. Reliable Data Delivery.

ORION® Cellular endpoints are an evolution in AMI technology for water utilities, powering our Network as a Service (NaaS) approach. The innovative endpoints utilize existing cellular infrastructure for efficient and secure two-way communication of high-resolution meter reading data via cellular networks.
Broadcast Network
LTE-M Cellular Network
Transmissions
Four times per workday, three configurable to suit utility business practices; once per weekend day
Reading Interval
15-minute
Battery
One (1) lithium thionyl chloride D cell (nonreplaceable)

For optimal coverage, performance and longevity, our ORION Cellular endpoints are supported by the most robust
and reliable cellular carriers in North America.

Industry-Leading Performance. Leverages existing cellular networks managed and maintained by outside carriers,
which minimizes potential downtime and ensures readings are completed without interruption.
Decreases Maintenance. Eliminates the need for utility-owned gateway infrastructure, in addition to installation and
ongoing maintenance costs. Utilities can add new endpoints easily—without building new infrastructure.
End-to-End Security. Data is reliably and securely transmitted and received. We communicate data over a private
network—not the public internet—and manage it according to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance standards.
Flexible Configuration. Available in a variety of configurations and installation options based on your specific
application.
