CHEMICAL MONITORING

Badger Meter Chemical Monitoring Solutions deliver accurate, real-time measurement to help optimize treatment processes and maintain water quality.

The ATI Q46H Dissolved Chlorine Monitor, Q46F Fluoride Monitor, and Q46P pH/ORP Monitor provide continuous, reliable measurement of critical water quality parameters. Designed for municipal and industrial water applications, these analyzers deliver accurate, real-time data to help optimize chemical dosing, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure consistent treatment performance.

ATI Q46H Dissolved Chlorine Monitor

Continuous Water Quality Monitoring of Residual Chlorine

The Q46H/62-63 Residual Chlorine Monitor is the latest version of our Q45H system for continuous water quality monitoring of free or combined chlorine. These monitors offer expanded capabilities including additional analog outputs, low-power relay options, and digital communication via Profibus DP, Modbus RTU, or Ethernet IP.

Parameters
Chlorine, Temperature

The Residual Chlorine Monitor is an upgraded version of our proven Q45H system for continuous water quality monitoring of free or combined chlorine.

Monitor capabilities have been expanded to include options for a 3rd analog output or for adding additional low power relay outputs. Digital communication options for Profibus DP, Modbus RTU or Ethernet IP have been added, as well. The Q46H system uses a polarographic membraned sensor to measure chlorine directly, without the need for chemical reagents and an automatic pH compensation may be added for highest free chlorine measurement accuracy.

Q46H systems are economical to purchase, economical to maintain and provide long-term accuracy and reliability for your chlorine monitoring needs.

ATI Q46F Fluoride Monitor

Continuous, Accurate and Reliable Free Fluoride Concentration Monitoring

The Q46F Fluoride Monitor continuously monitors free fluoride concentration in potable water using a sensitive ion selective electrode, offering reliable measurements from 0.1 to 1000 PPM. A chemistry module conditions samples for the sensor, with results displayed and alarm functions provided on a separate electronics module.

Parameters
Chlorine, Temperature

Fluoride is widely added to drinking water systems to help prevent tooth decay. It is normally added in the form of liquid hydrofluorosilicic acid, which can be easily handled and applied using standard metering pumps. While control of the fluoridation process is easily handled by simple flow proportional feed, water quality monitoring of final fluoride concentrations is useful in providing an alarm in the case of overfeed problems. Optimum fluoride levels of around 1 PPM are safe, but control system problems resulting in concentrations above 2 PPM are considered excessive and need to be detected as early as possible. Loss of chemical feed can also be detected quickly and reliably with on-line fluoride monitoring.

The Q46F provides continuous water quality monitoring of free fluoride concentration in potable water. The system employs a fluoride sensitive ion selective electrode (ISE) which provides reliable measurement down to 0.1 PPM and as high as 1000 PPM. A chemistry module provides sample conditioning for the sensor and the measured fluoride concentration is displayed on a separate electronics module that also provides alarm and analog output functions.

ATI Q46P pH/ORP Monitor

Continuous Water Quality Monitoring of pH

The Q46P pH water quality monitor provides the durability, accuracy and versatility required for pH monitoring or control applications.

Parameters
pH,Temperature

The versatile Q46P/R system monitors the Potential of Hydrogen (pH) and Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP). The differential pH/ORP sensors make use of a sealed reference system – a second glass pH electrode – to help prevent the destruction of the sensor, from chemical poisons including sulfide, cyanide, chlorine and bisulfite.

Within the sensor, the integral preamplifier creates a low-impedance signal output. This helps to provide consistent readings in all environments, maximizing the distance between the sensor and analyzer.

The addition of our Q-Blast option provides the ideal answer for automatic pH or ORP sensor cleaning. Employing a unique ‘air-blast’ cleaning method, sensors can be cleaned as often as necessary without operator attention.
